Shop the look - Jewelry

Shop the look is E.L.F Cosmetics sister company in the US. They sell all kinds of accessories.
The definitely have something for everyone. They have so many different styles to choose from.

I was fortunate enough go be given this bracelet from ShopTheLook.net. It is a bracelet set in gold with a faux feather scale texture. It`s elastic so it`s not hard to put on at all and it`s really well made so i`m confidant that it won`t break any time soon.

I was also given a ring by this website.

This has to be one of the coolest rings I have ever seen. It is called a Shield Armor ring and this must be my new favorite ring. It`s really comfortable to wear, I can still move my finger while wearing it. I got loads of compliments for this ring. How cool does it look?
It`s made from hematite  and it is so well made. It should have cost more than just $14.

When the ring and the bracelet arrived, they were really well packaged. They each arrived in a black velvet bag inside the parcel. This really helped my impression of ShopTheLook. If you want to see more of their accessories, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Have a great day!!!

Instant Nail Effect

So here it is! I had been drooling over this nail paint for a few weeks before I decided to go ahead and get it.The Instant Nail Effect from Barry M gives a cracked type of look to the nail, which in theory sounds pretty cool, right?
I really wanted it because it was something new and unusual. I liked it the first few times I tried it, but there are a few things I don`t like as well.

First of all, if you take too much product on the nails, it wound "crack" properly and it will just look like a black square on your nail.
If you put too little product on your nails, the nail effect "cracks" into tiny, tiny bits which I don`t think looks very good.

Another thing I also really don`t like is that sometimes when applying the nail effect, it makes the nail polish I have underneath disappear a little, like you can see on the picture below.

I think that for me, this turned out to more of a novelty nail varnish, but the novelty effect didn`t last very long. It`s fun to wear when you want to do something different with your nails and if your not good at nail art. I see other brands are coming out with this type of "cracking" effect nail varnish, so I might buy some other colors from other brands just to compare.
I think that one of the reasons that I wanted to buy this product in the first place was that it was new and unusual and I didn`t know anyone else who had this kind of product, but now that other brands are coming out with the same thing, it doesn`t appeal to me as much anymore.

Anywho... Let me know what you think of the Instant Nail Effect from Barry M if you have it or if you want it.

Have a great day!

Barry M blush - Strawberry

A few weeks ago I saw that Barry M had a few new blushers, so I decided to buy the one that most appealed to me, which just happened to be no 3/Strawberry.
The color is an orangy hot pink type color. It might look a bit scary because it is quite a vibrant color and it is actually very pigmented as well, so I wasn`t sure if I really liked it at first.
You only need a little bit because a little goes a long way with this blush and the more you blend it, the better it looks!
The texture is good. It`s not chalky at all, so it won`t crumble when you use it.

In this picture I am using the blush. I only used a little bit and blended it quite well so the color wouldn`t be too bright.

I think this might actually be my new favorite blush at the moment.

Smokey Purple Look

Today`s face of the day is going to be a smokey purple look. I personally really like the color purple and I think it goes really well with blue eyes.

Here are some pictures of the look

The blush I used is from Barry M, number 3, it`s called Strawberry. It`s very beautiful!! I love it.
So used eye shadows from FAMOUSE by Sue Moxley and MakeUpAcademy. Unfortuanely the eye shadows don`t have names, but you can check out the tutorial if you want to know more.

If you want to know exactly how I did this look, the tutorial is HERE!

Let me know what you think!

Have a great day!:-)

Volturi Inspired Make Up

I decided to do a make up look inspired by the Volturi (mostly Jane) from the Twilight Saga.
I know that a lot of people have done this look already, but here is my rendition of it.

Products used:

Eyes:

Lemon Aid
120 Eyeshadow Pallet
28 Neutral Pallet - Coastal Scents
Black Cream Eyeliner - ELF
Red Eyeliner - Barry M
1001 Lashes - Bourjois

Lips:

Concealer
Tickled Pink blush - ELF

I used a red eyeliner because I didn`t have any red colored lenses, so I used the red to give the effect of  having red eyes.

If you would like to know how to do this look, HERE is a video tutorial.

Be sure to let me know what you think of this look!

Pink Flamingo

A few weeks ago I did a swap with Oxfordjasmine from Youtube. I picked out a few make up items I wanted including this nail paint from Barry M.
It`s number 305 and it is called Pink Flamingo. It is a very bright, almost neon pink.
It applied quite streaky even with a base coat.
I generally like Barry M nail paint but this one is by far the worst one just because of the consistency.
I think the color looks completely different to picture of the nail paint on the Barry M website.
Usually, I am a Barry M fan, but I am quite disappointed with this product!

Have a nice weekend!
